500 years ago, Luther published the hymn »Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein« and exactly 300 years ago, Bach premiered the cantata that is based on the chorale. Namely with the St. Thomas Boys’ Choir – which is going to sing it in 2024, too, accompanied by the not much younger Gewandhaus Orchestra.
