Émile Parisien (saxophone), Vincent Peirani (accordeon)
Saxophone player Émile Parisien and accordionist Vincent Peirani are among the new stars on the French jazz scene. Their musical dialogues are ingenious, surprising and witty. Both have had honours heaped on them in France, including the coveted »Prix Django Reinhardt«. The duo refers back to an illustrious past, Émile Parisien to Sidney Bechet and John Coltrane, for example, while Vincent Peirani follows the great French tradition of accordion-playing. Yet when they play together, what counts for both of them is to sound out new musical territory.
