Together with the Thomanerchor and the Gewandhaus Orchestra, the vocal ensemble amarcord has been one of the outstanding musical ambassadors of the city of Leipzig for the past 30 years. The five singers perform mainly a cappella, but also work regularly with instrumentalists. They have developed the »Bach & Bridges« project together with recorder player Erik Bosgraaf: chorales by Johann Sebastian Bach, music from the Renaissance period and contemporary vocal compositions by Bernd Franke alternate with the solo works for recorder that make up Erik Bosgraaf’s extremely virtuosic and expressive contribution. This dialogue of voices and instrument promises to be a thrilling experience.
