»BACH – We Are FAMILY« Choir 2024

Enthusiastic singers, dreaming of standing on the choir gallery in St Thomas’ Church to sing cantatas by Bach under the direction of Ton Koopman, will again have the opportunity to do so during Bachfest 2024.

Together with splendid soloists and the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra, the »BACH – We are FAMILY«-Choir will perform the cantata in the service on Sunday, June 16, 9.30 am, that had its first performance exactly 300 years earlier: »Ach Herr, mich armen Sünder«, BWV 135 as well as the motet »Jesu, meine Freude«, BWV 227.

Experienced singers from all over the world are invited to register before 10 December 2023. As only approx. 100 singers can take part, there will be a selection process.
