Bachfest Leipzig 2025: Request for Accreditation

Your Request for Accreditation

Accreditation is granted solely for the purpose of reporting on the Leipzig Bachfest to journalists able to provide proof of their profession:

• By presenting a press pass and proof of coverage of culture and/touristic subjects no longer than six months prior to the event.

or

• For freelance journalists, by presenting an actual, written assignment for coverage from an editorial office.

There is no entitlement to accreditation for people working in the field of photo journalism. Owing to the sensitive situation at concerts, the Leipzig Bachfest provides pool photos only.

Applications for accreditations must be completed at the latest by 10 June 2025 to be taken into account.

Information on Access

Press cards are issued at the discretion of the Leipzig Bach Archive. Journalists have no legal right to accreditation, as the number of press cards available is limited (cf Ruling of the German Constitutional Court BVerfG of 30 Oct. 2002 – 1 BvR 1932/02, NJW 2003, 500). Once issued, press cards are not transferrable and may not be sold to third parties.

Press cards do not entitle the holder to tickets for specific events, nor to a specific number of tickets for any one editorial team. Neither does it entitle the holder to a seat in a specific price category.

Tickets may be ordered for accompanying persons if capacity allows. Tickets for accompanying persons must be paid for. Concessionary tickets for accompanying persons can be provided if justified according to our Terms and Conditions (in German).

Upon Your Accreditation

You are entitled to the following on receiving accreditation:

• Access to the Leipzig Bachfest photo download page

You are entitled to the following during the festival:

• Access to the Leipzig Bachfest Press Office
• Accreditation pass
• Leipzig Bachfest press kit (German/English)
• Free press tickets for Leipzig Bachfest events
• Free Leipzig Bachfest programme booklets (available at the concert venues)
• Access to the Leipzig Bachfest photo download page
• Free entry to the Leipzig Bach Museum
• Reservation service for seats at admission-free Bachfest discussion events 
• Help with arranging interviews

Detailed information will be provided with confirmation of your accreditation and/or when you collect your Bachfest press pass from the Bachfest Press Office.

Please send us copies of your articles as proof. If despite requests from our Press Office you provide no articles, we reserve the right to refuse you accreditation starting from the following year.
