No 238 Piano Recital

The city of Leipzig must certainly hold good memories for Alexander Paley: back in 1984, aged 28, he travelled to the city to take part in the Bach Competition and won first prize for his playing. He moved to the US in 1988 and from there embarked on a global career which brought him together with many major orchestras. Paley also teaches at the music academy in Kaunas (Lithuania) and is the director of a piano festival in Richmond (Virginia). He has a longstanding collaboration with the Leipzig piano company Blüthner, whose pianos he has described as »a part of my life«.
