Artists:
Konstantin Lifschitz (piano)
Pianist Konstantin Lifschitz has spent many years studying the keyboard works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Ukraine-born artist was nominated for a Grammy for his first recording of the Goldberg Variations back in 1996 and over the years has worked his way through the entire Bach repertoire. For the past few years, Lifschitz has performed programmes in which he illustrates Bach’s career and the different places where he lived and worked with corresponding keyboard compositions. The result is a very personal »pilgrimage to Bach« – which is now stopping off in Leipzig.
