No 146 3 Bach Prize Winners, 3 Solo Cantatas

The Bach Competition takes place every year in Leipzig around the time of Johann Sebastian Bach’s birthday in March. After Piano (2025) and Violin (2026), the famous competition will be held in the discipline Voice in 2027. A jury chaired by Christoph Prégardien will announce the winners after the final in the Gewandhaus on 21 March 2027. The freshly announced Bach Prize winners will then each have the opportunity to present to the international Bach community one solo cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach in a concert during the Bachfest. They will be accompanied by the top Leipzig Baroque music ensemble, Collegium Musicum ‘23.
